SUMMER SAFETY TIPS FOR POWER TOOLS!

The work season outside is about to start all over again. We are ready to use our chainsaws, lawnmowers, and hedge trimmers to complete those outdoor tasks that we have put off until spring now that the rain and cold have mostly passed. We have more than 70 years of experience making Step Ladders that are light but strong, so we can help you finish the job. In addition to power tools, you will probably need a ladder to complete those difficult tasks. Ladder Store Co. has been in business for more than 70 years and can help you finish the job.

Due to our years of experience, we are fairly conversant with the dangers associated with ladder-related work; Five of the most significant ones are listed here.

BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

If you plan to work outside with electrical equipment, you should take some safety precautions to minimize the risk to your health. Use a residual current device (RCD) when working with equipment that is connected to the mains. Electric shock can be avoided with this device, which shuts off power before electrical faults can cause harm. It can be positioned inside the actual garden socket or on the main switchboard, also known as a fuse box, to protect against electric shock.

You should invest in these devices because they could save your life in an emergency. Check your RCD by pressing the test button; if it trips, look for issues.

MOWING THE LAWN

It is a common summertime chore in the United Kingdom. We know where it will end; Your garden with Probat Platform Step Ladders is beginning to look a little wild and untamed after months of growth, so you use the lawnmower to get it back in shape.

While the utility of your lawnmower cannot be denied, you should exercise caution when using it to avoid harm.

The plugs, connections, and cables of a lawnmower shouldn't be damaged when operating it. This can lead to electric shocks and exposed wires. Cutting the grass when it is wet is riskier because electricity and water do not mix. Additionally, stumbling and falling are more likely to occur when cutting the grass in wet conditions.

The majority of people would rather not wear sandals or shoes that aren't made to protect their feet than have toes that are too short. Keep everyone inside while you cut the grass because they could hurt themselves or you if they distract you. This is essential, particularly for very young children. Platform Step Ladders can help you a lot.

It's tempting to occasionally reverse your lawn mower; however, try to keep it moving under your control rather than pushing it around the garden. By walking forward and pushing the lawn mower while walking backward, you can avoid tripping. Before doing anything like clearing clogs in the grass, disconnect the lawn mower from the power source and wait until the blades stop turning.
